Hybrid Technology � Record HD video to 60GB Hard Disk Drive or Memory Stick
HDR-SR11 Gives you the best of both worlds! Record High Definition 1920 x 1080i video direct to the internal 60GB Hard Disk Drive or to removable Memory Stick. Using HD Long Play (1440x1080i) you can record up to 22 hours of footage before needing to export to external storage.

10.2 Mega Pixel Still Image Capture
HDR-SR11 allows you to capture spectacular 10.2 Mega Pixel still images when in dedicated still mode � with flash! You can also record a 7.2 Mega Pixel still image at the same time as recording full motion video! The HDRSR11 even supports red eye reduction, meaning your full High Definition Handycam can also double is a high end still camera. Images can be saved to the built in Hard Disk Drive (default) or stored on removable Memory Stick.

3.2" Xtra Fine Touch Screen LCD
One of the most impressive features of the HDRSR11 is its stunning 3.2" Touch Screen LCD Panel. The larger size allows you to view all of your footage in spectacular detail, while "Xtra Fine" technology truly brings your HD images to life. The touch screen natively displays 921,600 dots (1920 x 480) meaning every image is displayed crisply.

Microphone & Headphone Jacks
For those who are serious about sound, the HDRSR11 enhances the recording experience by allowing you to connect a powered external microphone to the camera. Monitoring audio levels is also made easier thanks to the external headphone jack. Simply attach your favourite pair of headphones (using a standard 3.5mm plug) and you can instantly hear what you are recording.

Face Detection
Face Detection technology ensures that family and friends captured with HDRSR11 are always shown at their best! When the camera detects a human face it automatically adjusts focus, colour control and brightness to ensure that faces are always clear and sharp. Face Detection also works in group shots, with up to 8 faces being tracked at once.

Manual Shooting Function � Camera Control Dial
Easily assign a variety of camera settings to the Manual button and adjust them with the Camera Control Dial for smooth manual operation.

Backup HD Footage to AVCHD Disc Without a PC!
If you want to take advantage of the long recording times offered by a High Definition Hard Disk Drive Handycam however don't have a PC, DVDirect (VRDMC5) is for you! Simply connect your High Definition Hard Disk Drive Handycam to the device and burn your memories to AVCHD Disc (DVDirect burns AVCHD data files onto standard DVDs). You can then play this disc back on a High Definition Blu-ray player or PS3.(AVCHD Discs are not compatible with Standard DVD players.) For more information on DVDirect, click the icon on the left. DVDirect is an optional accessory for Handycam.
